#Flashback Saturday Meet Author Domina Alexandra

Good afternoon Everyone and a warm welcome to you all. Today I’m presenting a #Flashback Saturday with author Domina Alexandra whose blog I originally posted on 05-May-18. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to beta read her new book which will be debuting soon. Here is what she has to say about it.

“I’m excited to announce that my next book will be a Fantasy lesfic! For many who love the fast-paced life of a Paramedic; it will start off that way, the main character a Paramedic who unintentionally falls into the supernatural World! I’m so eager to share this story with you all; but like my cliffhangers throughout my chapters, I dare not share too much! Keep your eyes open for my future Lesfic, “A Night Claimed.””

Now read on for the interview.

“Find something you love and do it in purpose.”

Tell us about yourself.
Where do I begin? I am from Southern California. I guess that’s a great place to start off. I’ve always been a deep thinker and writer. Sports was the thing that outshined my ability to write. I became an EMT in 2014; wanting to make a difference. I have come to learn, I really became an EMT to give back. I wasn’t a wild kid; only a confused spirit. Coming out totally helped discover who I am today. Discover my passion above all things. To become a writer, who loves to serve the community on the side.

What is your favorite part of writing?
If I can get lost in my writing, I’ve reached the highest point of living every time! Writing can make me feel so many things. I always say I create from pure imagination that I gained from being stuck in my head too long as a child. Every story I create is a world I can escape into, and that’s one of my most favorite things about writing.

book coverHow would you describe the protagonist in your new book? How did the idea for the location come about?
Both of my leading characters in my book are passionate about what they do. Living as a Paramedic; seeing life in a new way, opens them up to be strong, independent, and quite both feisty women. A piece of how I see myself. The location was easy to come up with. Moving to Oregon; the lifestyle and ambiance are amazing. I simply thought, why not?

Being from LA, are you into sports. If so, what teams do you like?
I used to be a huge sports player. I grew up playing basketball. In time, I fell in love with volleyball. I know, a typical lesbian thing, from what I hear. Far as sports teams, I haven’t cheered for a team in years. If my friends are watching a game, I’d just support their favorite team for that day.

What is the cutest thing your dogs do?
I have a lot of pictures of dogs, but none of them are mine. I have a couple of friends who ask me to dog sit for them on occasion. Now, I spend time with them as if I’m their Godmom, spoiling them and sending them back home.

How is living in Oregon different from SoCal?
For starters, the trees and all its glorious nature! I say southern California is half alive. As for Oregon, its green, vibrant, and fully living. I’ve made much quicker connections in Oregon and the openness of how others think is much vivid than I ever knew possible.

Where have you seen the most beautiful sunrise?
Detroit Lake, Oregon has one of the based spots to see an amazing sunrise. I think I took over two dozen pictures of that alone and that’s saying much.
lake detroit oregon

Where is a great place to hike near where you live?
I love Silver Falls. 10 waterfalls along the trail. I’ve been to Silver falls several times in the last two years.

What other authors do you follow and why?
Radclyffe, Graysen Morgen, Patricia Briggs, Jae. I could keep going! They each have a style; an ability about them that has helped me build up my confidence to do the same. Write and do it in a way that makes others want to do it too. Their imagination, personal knowledge, openness to write outside the scope of mundane life. It all excites me about them!
machu picchu

If you won a prize for a vacation in the Caribbean or Peru, which one would you pick and why?
Peru is the definite choice. Me on an island or beach, in general, is not my ideal vacation. Going on vacation like to Peru, I’d gain more culture and history out of it. That goes back to me being a deep thinker and wanting to know what historical moments took place? My nerd kicks on!

You get the call from a producer who wants to make a movie out of your book. Would you want to have a cameo appearance?
It wouldn’t matter to me if I could play a small part in the movie or not! I’d been more ecstatic just knowing my book was being viewed in more visual content.

Who has been the biggest influence on your writing?
For most of my life, writing has been a private thing for me. Not something I shared with others, until recently. It started off as just a tool to get my thoughts down and grew from there. I read so many books, my mind popped multiple times. Coming out, I finally understood the missing link to why I couldn’t write before and found my inspiration again. I found my true passion. So, my biggest inspiration comes from authors. The many Lesbian books I read and even books that weren’t queer based. I believed in myself through those Authors stories!

Do you believe dreams can come true?
Yes! I believe we can manifest what we truly desire and dream of. Does it come the way we want and when we would like it? Not always, but, dreams can come true if you just believe! That sounded so Disney and Hallmark!

Let’s talk about your experience with the Live Theatre program. Are you still working in the theater?
I loved working in Theatre. It was an accident getting into Theatre. I needed to fill in my College credits for the semester and that was all that was left. I went in thinking, I’d hide in the background. I was quite anti-social back then, it was one of the biggest changes in my life. I began to discover myself, and in the process realized I was a hell of great. Was in the Theatre program, four years. Toward the end, I learned I enjoyed writing screenplays, comedy skits, and monologues more than acting. I had this popular comedy skit called, “Studdar Ball.” Though someday I plan to get back into skit writing, for now, I’m solely focused on being a Queer based fictional writer.

What’s next for you?
I am writing a new story right now. Truthfully, I have multiple books already written. I’ve just been sitting on them for the last few years. But now that I’m actively becoming a published author, I can’t stop writing. Expect nothing but more books to come and of a wide genre of lesbian fiction!

Me: I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us.

New Year Blessings

Good afternoon everyone and welcome. I hope you had as merry as a holiday season as I did. Today I want to share with you some things I’m visualizing for this year, 2019. I am not doing resolutions since I never stick to them. Instead, I’m focusing on goals. A big goal for me this year is to achieve inner peace and manifest abundance. These are things I work on each day. I am focusing on what is going right instead of what isn’t. I have a new outlook and I’m prepared for big positive things.
Christmas-2018.jpgI’m putting the last touches on my new story that will be published sometime this spring. I’m very excited and have spent years working on this. I will say that outlines really do the trick and helped me out immensely. It tells the story of a woman haunted by a past love while new love awaits her. She is in the midst of a long-unsolved mystery that will affect many people in her town.

I am also working on a new story this year I’ve already started. It is a lesfic and will have the protagonist go through something and come out stronger. There will be plenty of drama and romance for those who enjoy that.

This Christmas a wish came true; I had Christmas with my family in Michigan. I haven’t seen them in two years. I am grateful I got to see my mom this past September. It was fun to see my aunt and cousins. On Christmas day, I made a nice vegan meal for my wife and mom, including a pumpkin pie, a Shephard’s pie and perogies.
IMG_1409Also during our visit, we got to go to a place that was a big part of my growing up – Big Boy. It brought back memories of when my folks took us there as a kid and of me working there when I was in high school.

A big thing for me was getting through airport security. Usually, I’m a nervous wreck. This year it was different. The energy was different. I was able to see each employee as a child of God who has a family. As a result, I got friendlier service. I am grateful for that.

I am finding gratitude for most things today. I’m no longer viewing the glass as being half empty. I was grateful to be able to step in the snow and feel the crisp air on my face.

I’m experimenting with new recipes this year. Recently, I tackled a sauce that one of our favorite veggie restaurants serves. It is tofu based and is easy to prepare. I like to serve it over veggies and brown rice. It has been a hit in my household. This winter, I am going to make a veggie version of Irish Stew, complete with a bottle of O’Douls, which is a non-alcoholic beer. The traditional recipe uses beer like Guinness, but I wanted a lighter flavor and this N/A beer will provide it. I’m planning to serve this with rice.
IMG_0540This year, I plan to do more book reviews. I’m also starting back with my interviews, so if anyone wants to be a guest on my blog, contact me. I am looking for people to share their own gratitude for life. I want to thank everyone who I interviewed and did reviews for in 2018. I read a lot of really great books and had some great interviews. Stay tuned for authors like Victoria Avilan and Rachel Maldonado, whose books I’m reviewing soon. Also stay tuned for my upcoming guest blogs from Suzie Carr and Domina Alexandra.

I also want to thank everyone who helped make my book ‘Awakened by Fate‘ possible, This includes my publishing team, beta readers, and those who helped market it. I couldn’t have done it without you.

I really want to see people living in harmony with one another. I know of a lot of people who are working hard to make this a reality. I send out positive energy to everyone I meet. I’m doing my part to make a better place.

I want to hear from you. What are you looking for in this new year?

Until Next Time,

Lynn

My Review of Samantha Jacobey’s ‘Christmas Joy’

Good afternoon friends and welcome. Today I’m presenting my review for Samantha Jacobey’s ‘Christmas Joy.’ The 4th book in the series. Candy and Gary are back for a new Christmas adventure. This time it’s a little different than the previous three Christmas’. A surprise happens at the firehouse where Gary works which will change things.

It is told from 2 points of view- Candy and Gary.

Candy is still a bit insecure around Gary’s affluent family and uses her studies to limit visitation. In this book, she has a lot of emotions over something new that comes into her life. Never been in her shoes, I can empathize with her. She shows strength while dealing with a sensitive issue. She is a perfectionist with most things. I found myself rooting for her as the story unfolded. She really wants a good Christmas this year as the past three have had unwanted drama. This year she opens her heart.

The family dynamics are interesting. They go deep, and I could clearly see the love between Candy and her son, Daks. Gary too had a strong fatherly demeanor.

Gary is his sweet gentle self. He is really good at calming his wife when she is feeling emotional. He doesn’t care what others think of him; he is his own person and goes out of his way to help others. He has a heart of gold and is very family oriented. I loved his strength in during the heart of an issue.

There is a sensitive subject in the story which caused discomfort for me. Be advised. You will see as you read along.

It is a cozy read that you can enjoy sitting in front of your fireplace. I read it in about 3 hours, so it is perfect for that snowy day. The pace is moderate. Although this is a stand-alone story, I would recommend reading the first three as they make references to events in them. I know you are going to love this read as much as I did.

Here is an excerpt from Christmas Joy:

“Oh, Candy,” her mother squealed, unable to contain herself any longer. Fighting her way to her feet, Lanelle shuffled over, wrapping her arms around her only child. “I’m so proud of you,” she whispered against her ear, her forehead pressing against Candy’s.

“I know, mom,” Candy sighed. “I know that you all are, and I appreciate all the love and support each and every one of you has shown me. And next fall, I’ll be ready to dive back in, hopefully with some better results!”

Her confidence filling the room, the gathering cheered for her, with smiles and toast all around. Standing to tower over them, Gary wrapped both of the women in his massive arms, holding his bride against his broad chest.

“I sure do love you, kitten,” he confessed. “I’m glad you’ve decided not to give up.”

“I could never give up,” she giggled. “No matter how scary Christmas can be, I know now that I can face it. Especially now that I have found my Christmas Joy.”

Life isn’t always sweet, even for girls called Candy.
Candice Parker married Gerald Ford on Christmas Eve two years ago following a massive blizzard. The year before that her family was left homeless when a fire burned their apartments to the ground. Fortunately, fireman Gary had been on call and led the team that rescued Lanelle and Dakota from the blaze.
Last year it all came to a head when Caroline joined their household as the nanny and housekeeper when she revealed the fire had been arson. Following the discovery, a sinister plot unfolded that almost killed them all.
To say Candy is dreading the arrival of this typically happy holiday would be an understatement.
However, she does have one thing going for her this year.

Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations anywhere at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night.
I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the books that are currently available and hope you will enjoy reading them just as much. And of course, there will be many more stories to come.

I want to thank all of you for stopping by today. I am wishing you all a very happy holiday season and I will see you again in 2019. May the best come to you always.

Until Next Time,

Lynn

Awakened by Fate

Good afternoon Friends and welcome. I hope you all enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving. We went to visit our family and had a blast. It was great seeing everyone and I’m feeling a lot of gratitude. Things are going well and I wanted to share with you another promo for my book, ‘Awakened by Fate.’
Cover Photo

A lot goes into the making of a good book. In my case, it took several years. I am currently working on a few other manuscripts. Writing the story is the easy part. The hard part is editing and moving things around. I like to have the story in good shape before I send it off to the beta readers. Then they have their own notes I follow. You have to make sure everything ties together and there are no plot holes. It is easy to put in a minor character and then forget about them. That’s why it is so important to have an outline or two handy, to keep me on track.

Jackie is an interesting character in that she is so self-absorbed she doesn’t see what is going on around her. She thinks she’s doing a good job at work, at least until a rush comes in, then she doesn’t fare so well. She is walking along a path that leads to nowhere.

In the book, I go into greater details about her relationships with others. There is one woman that Jackie can’t upset. Out of jealousy and worried about losing her job, Jackie sets out to sabotage her new co-worker.
Mystical Jackie.jpgShe thinks she has her life in order, but can’t see the flaws in it at least she ignores the signs. A big disappointment happens and she still doesn’t see the truth.

It is interesting regarding Jackie’s choice of lovers, including one whom she got caught with. I chose for her to have a platonic relationship with her husband for this part of the story. He is gone a lot, but one has to wonder whether or not he is choosing to go on these assignments since their relationship draws out the worst in both of them.

Along the way, Jackie meets up with others who are able to be supportive of her as she goes through her change. Even still, she has her own ideas.

At the beginning of the story, Jackie has an estranged relationship with her family and has issues regarding them. Here she has a golden opportunity to clear up the tangled strands. But it isn’t easy and some things go unsaid that should be spoken.

I chose a complicated character because wanted her to have a bumpy ride before she realizes who she really is.

Here is another exciting excerpt from this story:

###

“Welcome to the big league, Jackie.”

“You like the flyer?”

“Yes. Lisa is such a genius with her work. If it’s okay with you I’d like to take some of your flyers and post them around town and pass out at my next gig. What do you say?”

Smiling, Jackie said, “Sure.”

Giving her a hug, Trish said, “That’s my girl. Don’t be surprised when the phone calls start coming in. What do you say we spend some time tonight working on affirmations that you can post around your condo to remind you when you’re feeling off balance?”

Trish and Jackie's secret place

Jackie went to the office and returned with a pen and notebook. She and Trish stayed up to all hours of the night working. By the time they went to bed, Jackie passed out.

*

The gentle breeze brushed up against her cheek and the scent of pine and aspen was in the air. Looking around, Jackie saw that she was in a lush, breathtaking forest. The sun shone down through the trees, making the dew on the grass glisten. The wind whistled a soft song. In the distance, she saw a deer that turned to look at her. He stood still for a brief minute, but when she moved her hand, he turned and ran away.

She continued walking until she came to a small, grassy clearing. She lay down in the thick carpet and closed her eyes. For several minutes, she breathed in the clean, crisp air and allowed her mind to just wander. The sun felt warm, beating down on her face, and she allowed herself to soak up the rays.

The sound of a twig snapping caused her to freeze up. Panic overcame her as she sat up. Then in the distance, she saw two very tall women with long, flaxen, hair, sparkling blue eyes, and a healthy glow from their faces, standing next to a large aspen tree.

Jackie stood up and started walking towards them. They continued to stay put, as if they were waiting for her.

“Do I know you?”

The woman on the left replied, “Yes, you do. We have been with you on your current journey and are here to check in with you. How are you doing, Jackie?”

Puzzled, she looked hard at the two of them and thought. Then she spoke. “What do you mean by my current journey?”

“Your current incarnation. We are here to guide you as you walk through your life. You called us here at this time because you needed our assistance.”

“I’m at a loss here. Sorry.”

“You appear to be at a crossroads with several aspects in your life and are confused about which path to take. We cannot tell you which one to follow, but we can tell you that you will soon find the answer. You will need to go to a sacred place to receive it.”

Jackie replied in a huffy tone, “And where do I need to go to receive this message?”

“Ask Trish and she will take you there.”

“What do you mean ask Trish? What does she have to do with this?”

“Just trust what we are telling you. When you go to this place, go deep inside and the answer will come to you.”

A minute later, both women disappeared into the air and Jackie was left alone, standing in the forest. Without another thought she closed her eyes for a minute. When she opened them, she saw a fox sitting in the exact spot where the two women had been standing. Jackie stood there for several moments staring at the animal until he, too, disappeared.
Early in the morning on Kauai

*

The second she woke, she wrote down what she remembered from her dream. Looking over, she saw a peaceful looking Trish lying next to her, breathing softly. Quietly, she stole out to the kitchen to make some coffee. The morning sun was inviting, so she went out on the balcony to absorb the rays of sunshine.

About twenty minutes later, Trish appeared in the doorway with a cup of joe in her hand. Smiling, she said, “You look radiant today.”

“Thanks.”

Trish sat down. Pointing at her notebook, she said, “Anything interesting come to you recently?”

“Oh, my. I had this weird dream last night,” she went into details of it.

Grasping her hands, Trish widened her eyes and said, “Hey, that is amazing! These two women are your spirit guides. It sounds like they want you to get out into nature. I know of a wonderful place that’s not too far away where we can go hiking sometime if you’re up for it. The best time to go is in the early morning when the sun is rising.”

“What do you think they are saying? I don’t get their secret.”

“I think I do.”

“And…,” Jackie said.

“You are definitely ready for this phase of your life. It sounds like the women want to show you something. Now that I think of it, I know of an even better place I can take you for a nature walk.”

“Is it far away?”

“Let me take care of the details.”

Around Trish’s neck was her fox medallion. Jackie’s heart skipped a beat. Trish looked down and smiled. Then she took it off and put it around Jackie’s neck and kissed it. “Allow good things to manifest.”

My Review of Domina Alexandra’s ‘I Belong With Her’

Hello everyone and good afternoon. Thank you for stopping by last week. Today I’m featuring my review for author Domina Alexandra’s ‘I Belong with Her’. This is the author’s third book and is one you are going to want to read. Let’s meet our players, Arianna and Tejel.
Author Photo 3Arianna is a paramedic and new to Oregon. Being a transplant from LA, she is starting her new job. She is tough and knows how to stand up for herself. She is quick-study as well as fast and alert. She is finds herself in arguments over many things.

Tajel is another paramedic who is teamed up with Arianna by the station. She was partial raised by her aunt and uncle. She has a fine eye and appreciates little things.

She loves being a woman but doesn’t date. She doesn’t want to it to interfere with her rising career. At work, she isn’t afraid to show her colors, especially to those who undermine her. A family member is her boss at work, so you get to see two sides to her in this relationship.

It was interesting watching the two women bicker for control. Both are strong willed and want to have the final say. The tug of war reactions added drama to the story.

There is romance in the story. There is flirting that really spiced things up. You will love what they say to each other and the scenes are pretty graphic.

Some course language is peppered throughout the story but not enough to distract from it. Good descriptions of the work place. I got the feel of being there. The author took us on a call to save a man’s life. I got to watch as the two women worked on him. I got to see how hard the women work as well as how grueling a 24-hour shift can be. There is good drama that had me on the edge of my seat. Very well done. I know you are going to love this story as much as I did.
Book CoverHere is an excerpt:

#

Once I was done, I changed into a clean uniform and found Tajel waiting for me in our room. I paused in the doorway, waiting for Tajel to say whatever was on her mind. I could tell she was bothered.

Tajel was entirely rigid. Her eyes were focused on me. “I’m not weak.”

Did what I said earlier really upset her that much?

I took a step closer to her so that she could see my sincerity, if nothing else. I was bad at choosing the right words. I never meant to offend Tajel and I was desperate for her to know that.

“I know that you’re not. That’s why it’s all right for you to be honest with your feelings. I don’t think you are weak.” With another step, I nearly closed the gap between us. “I know what real weakness is, because I have been utterly weak for so long.”

Tajel shook her head. “You’re not weak.”

I maintained my seriousness. “Yes I am. Don’t lie for me.”

“You’re not weak at least, not right now.”

The kindness in her words soothed me more than she probably intended. The fact that she was being nice to me at all, especially after my third time slaughtering any chance at getting along with her, surprised me. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body. Not really. Whether Tajel tried to or not, she wasn’t capable of holding a grudge.

“Thank you.” Before she could ask why I thanked her, I explained, “You put your life at risk and kept me from harm.”

“I probably should have done that for the patient instead.”

I pursed my lips, considering her observation, then smiled. “But you didn’t.”

Absentmindedly, I reached out to her, taking her hand into mine and squeezing it.

“And thank you for earlier. I heard what Manny said to you. After my behavior at the diner…”
Tajel accepted my apology for the third time, and I was beginning to think she enjoyed our arguments simply because she liked to see me squirm when I would finally apologize. Time slipped away from us. It was probably only a few seconds, but I realized I couldn’t handle the tension in our linked fingers. When I managed to pull away, I noticed her knuckles were bruised.

I took an ice pack from my medic kit that I kept in the bathroom and popped it to activate the ice. I wrapped the pack in a small towel and placed it over her hand.

“You should be more careful. We need these hands.”

Our eyes locked, and my heart raced as everything around us faded. A knock on our door made me leap away from Tajel and she gave me an amused grin. Yes, I’m pathetic.

Five Stars.

Fall and Halloween

Hello Everyone. Thank you for stopping by last week for my ‘Awakened by Fate‘ blog. It was a huge turnout and you are the best readers. I can’t thank you enough.IMG_1310IMG_1311

It is that time of year again when the colors change and the temperatures drop. No more triple digit weather this year. Now we are into fall and it is amazing. We finally had some long-awaited rain and now my backyard is happy. One thing I love about this time of year is Halloween. I have loved this holiday since I was a kid going out trick or treating each year around my childhood neighborhood. I remember in high school, I dressed up as the grim reaper complete with a tight-fitting rubber mask. It was funny how none of the other kids outside didn’t know who I was.

Our neighborhood has an elementary school on the next block and each year all the kids come pouring in to gather their treats. We get about 300 kids and it is a blast watching them walk up to the door in their costumes, coming to collect their treat. We usually have candy to pass out. We get all sorts of kids, including high school kids since we also live near a high school. We get kids dressed in Hogwarts uniforms which I feel is the cutest next to a little girl who was dressed up as a fairy. They are all polite and say thank you.

This year, we have decked out the house with our pumpkins and our lights, not mention the scary music we play. We keep our door open until about 9:00 p.m. or until our candy runs out. We have a big plastic pumpkin in which we fill to the brim with candy. I, of course, pick out a few pieces for myself, but the rest is for the kids. We love to carve our pumpkins and put a candle inside to make them into jack-o-lanterns. We also have pie pumpkins which will be made into either pumpkin bread or pumpkin pie.

Our neighbor has a big inflatable pumpkin in front of her house. She puts up balloons which she gives out to the children. It is great that my street is involved with this holiday as it is important to the kids, as I know from my own childhood.

Last year the World Series was on during that night, so of course, we had our tv on as we passed out the treats. One man showed up with his kids with a radio. He heard the sounds coming from our tv and asked how the game was going. It was fun talking to him briefly about the sport as I gave his kids candy.

This year the Dodgers are in it again, playing the Red Sox. This weekend they are at home at Dodger Stadium. I’m hoping for a huge win tonight. It has been a rollar coaster for me during this years post season. The Dodgers almost didn’t make get their division title or the National League Pennant. Whew!

It is now the beginning of the holiday season and for this year I’m focusing on gratitude and what I can do to be of service. We participate in an annual blanket drive for the homeless. We help out by bagging and tagging the blankets and taking them down to downtown Los Angeles to distribute to the people there. I’ll tell it is a rush helping them out and I got a lot of God Bless’s last year. I’m looking forward to this year’s drive.

Pumpkin2How about you? What are you grateful for and what types of service work are you participating in this season?

Stay tuned for next week when I’ll be featuring my review for Domina Alexandra‘s ‘ ‘I Belong With Her.’

Thank you for your support!

Good afternoon Friends and welcome. Thank you for stopping by last week for my reposting of Graysen Morgen‘s interview. It was a huge turnout and it was great seeing you all and meeting new people. I am very grateful for your interest and support. I couldn’t have done it without you. I wanted to personally thank many people who have been with me on this journey.

KA Moll, Graysen Morgen, Breanna Hughes, Laure Dherbécourt, Anne Hagen, Nico J. Genes, Domina Alexandra, Ethyl Barker, Alicia Joseph, Lara Estes, Jeri Estes, Jennifer Lynn, Lou Gape, Natasja Hellenthal, Erin Wade, Charli Whiskey.

There are many more people who have been supportive and I thank you as well. This part of my life has had many dips and peaks, right now I’m moving towards a peak and it feels good. It feels good doing my interviews and book reviews. I am planning to start up on interviews later on this year so stay tuned.
IMG_1312Today I wanted to touch upon gratitude. We all have things in our lives that we are grateful for and they can be big, small, or in-between. They all help us evolve along our spiritual paths. I am grateful for my life and for everyone who is part of it. My success includes you all. We are all one and it is important for us to support each other. My fan base includes people from all walks of life and all types of life purposes. I am grateful I am at a point in my life where I can reflect on all the good that is happening now.

Gratitude can come in all forms. It can happen at any time. When we give we are telling the universe thanks for our existance. We can give in all forms. My form of giving is in the form of writing. I love my book and my blogs. It feels good sharing my entries with you each week.

I would like to share with you a bit about my book, ‘Awakened by Fate.’ The reason why I chose the protagonist is that I wanted to show a woman’ who’s life is out of control and the reasons why. Her alcohol abuse is a big contributing factor and I wanted to show how it wasn’t working in her life. I chose her to be in a traditional relationship because I wanted to tell the world how trapped she felt in her own life. She gets married to fullfil a family duty. Her entire world is upside down and I reveal things about her that get her thinking about the path that is in her reach.

Mystical JackieI’ve been told she is a cheater by some readers. Yes she has outside relationships because her marriage is open. She seeks to the outside for pleasure because she can’t see into her own soul. This is what she needs to see first. In the real world these relationships are out there and can work, if the partners are honest with each other, which I’ve seen. Jackie’s addictive behaviour makes it easy for her to be a liar, not to others, but to herself.

I want the world to see what she has to go through so she can begin to value herself as a worthy woman. I believe she is capable of being in a monogamous relationship and that the right person is out there for her. She just needs to keep an open mind and heart.

I’m happy you have been sharing your thoughts with me about my book. I feel it has made me a stronger writer. I’m currently working on three projects, two of which are slotted to be released next year. Again I want to thank you for all your support.

Stay tuned for next week when I’ll be presenting something new.

Until Next Time,

Lynn

My Review for Graysen Morgen’s ‘Mission Compromised’

Good afternoon Everyone and welcome. Thank you for stopping by last week and thank you, Erin Wade for the interview. Recently I read a few books, including Graysen Morgen’s ‘Mission Compromised.’  Today I am sharing my review of the story.

Book CoverThe story starts out in Fiji with its over-the-water bungalows and lush mountain ranges. There are a few points of view in the story with the first two debuting early in the plot. Lets’ meet them.

Natalia de la Faria Moreno is a beauty who radiates everywhere. Immediately I was drawn to her kind nature. She adores her father and mother. She is well traveled, having lived in many countries growing up. Very intelligent and has a deep care for things that are important to her, such as her conscious-being profession. I found her charming, including when she was on the emotional side. She is seductive and needy, but I wanted more of her.

Christian Garnier is another main character who travels to Fiji. It is spelled out clearly that she has trust issues and can’t tell the difference between a criminal or a saint. She is a private person and doesn’t openly share. The few times she did are priceless. She does have a soothing vibe and knows exactly what to say at the right time. Her dangerous lifestyle will give you goosebumps. She will keep you guessing the entire ride as well as surprised.

There is a third point of view, Collette. She is Christian’s ex-lover. She is brash and still holds onto a past pain. However, I feel they worked well together. You’ll see what I mean in the book.

A fourth point of view pops up later, which I feel is unnecessary.

One of the antagonists is so well described that he will give you the creeps right from the start. Even his name will make you shiver. You’ll see in the book the sleazy role he plays and how he operates.

There is hot steamy romance in the story which I will leave for the reader.

The author has good descriptions of the scenes and I love all the places the protagonists visit. She includes things like ‘salty air’ and ‘turquoise water’. She did research on the story locations and included some local attractions such as a cathedral in London, which made me feel like I was there. This adds beauty to the story and makes you want to read more.

The pace of the story starts out slow. There is an exciting twist that follows that will get you hooked. The author takes you on a roller coaster ride around the world, visiting several countries. It took me about six hours to read, so I would carve out some time to read. I am recommending this book for all who enjoy suspense and mystery. Be prepared for a sudden ending.

Here is an excerpt to get you started.

Book Cover

Natalia stood on the upper deck of the catamaran, feeling the salty air tinge her face as the boat raced across the turquoise water. It had been so long since she’d had the sun on her back and ocean water on her skin. Working as a Marine Conservationist, you’d think she spent most of her time around marine life and ocean water, but her job was managing the education workshops for teachers, as well as all of their educational tools. The reason she was going for her PhD was to become the Head of Education at the Oceanarium. Her goal in becoming a conservationist was to educate people on marine life and how to preserve it.

As the cat rolled over a wave, Natalia’s mind was elsewhere and she was thrown slightly off balance. She barely had time to react before someone steadied her. Natalia didn’t have to look twice, to tell the person with short, curly, dark hair and dark sunglasses, was female.

“Careful,” the woman said as she passed by, walking towards the port side from the bow without looking back.

Natalia’s focus went back to the island in front of them, growing larger as they became closer. She reached up, touching her pendant. “Thank you, Papai,” she whispered.

#FF #Flashback Friday – Meet author Erin Wade

Hello Friends and a warm welcome to you all. Today I am having a #FF and am presenting my interview with author Erin Wade originally published on 20-Oct-18. Since then she has been hard at work with her new novels that are now available. Here is more of what she’s been up to:

Lynn, so much has happened in our lives since we last visited. You have released your excellent and exciting novel “Awakened by Fate” which is doing quite well for you.

After my interview with you regarding “Three Times as Deadly”, it really took off. I thank you for that.

You asked me to bring you up-to-date on my books, so here goes. “Branded Wives” followed “Three Times as Deadly.” Then “Living Two Lives” and “Don’t Dare the Devil.” I now have seven #1 Best Sellers on Amazon. “Don’t Dare the Devil was a bit of a leap for me. It is my first foray into paranormal and it has been my top-selling book. We released it on June 18 and it has been #1 on Amazon’s Top New Releases for the past 25 days. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it will remain #1 for 30 days. That would be a personal best for us.

Book Cover 3

As we discussed in our October interview, the best thing that has happened to me in my professional life is Editor Susan Hughes. She has pushed me and my books to a whole new level. I thank God for Susan every day.

Susan will begin working on “The Roughneck and the Lady” next week. We hope to release it in September. It has plenty of action, tons of danger, a little humor and lots of love.

“We have two additional books in the works, “Shakespeare Under Cover” and “Wrongly Accused” that we hope to release before December 31. This will give me ten published books, a goal I have been working toward since January 2017.

I’d like to give a shout out to three people who have helped me realize my goals. My awesome beta readers Julie Versoi and Laure Dherbécourt and “The Voice” Victoria Mei who narrates all our audiotapes.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity. I appreciate you more than I could ever express.

And now here is the original interview. Enjoy.

Good afternoon friends and welcome. Today I have Author Erin Wade with us to chat. Erin’s new book, Three Times as Deadly is now out and is doing exceptionally well. At the bottom, I have included a nice excerpt for you to read. I know you’re going to enjoy it. Erin is an imaginative story teller whose books lure in the reader. She is also an adventurer and isn’t afraid to take risks. Come meet this amazing woman whom you’re going to love.

“We all have our own realities.”

D.J. Jouett, Must be Murder

I want to thank Lynn Lawler for inviting me to be the interview today. It is an honor to be associated with Lynn and her blog.

Tell us about yourself.
I live with my wonderful wife Alex, my dog Tank and our cat Candy in Austin, Texas. I am thirty. Alex is a year older than I. We met while attending the University of Texas in Austin. November 5 will be our ninth anniversary.

Alex is an educator and I am a land developer. My day job didn’t require much time so I often found myself with time on my hands. Alex suggested that I try my hand at writing fiction. My first books were murder mysteries written for mainstream readers. Last year (2016) I was writing a book called The Destiny Factor. I intended it to be a mainstream murder mystery but somewhere along the way it assumed a life of its own and morphed into a lesbian romance/thriller. I had never thought about writing lesfic, but discovered that I enjoyed writing about what I knew and had experienced. So, a lesfic author was born. In January 25, 2017 I released my first “intentional” lesfic novel, Too Strong to Die. It shot to number ten the same day it was released and reached number one on Feb. 1.  I had the bug. On my birthday, May 9, I released Death Was Too Easy which went to #1 in Hot New Releases. Currently, all three of my 2017 books are on Amazon’s Top 100 Best Sellers List for Action/Adventure/Romance and The Destiny Factor has stayed on the Top 100 Best Sellers list for the past fourteen months.

What inspired you to write professionally?
My wife convinced me to write fiction.

What is your new book, ‘Three Times as Deadly’ about?
‘Three Times as Deadly’ is about Sloan Cartwright, who awakens from a coma, in an African hospital. She has no memory of her past or the three women who claim to be married to her. The book is funny, exciting and filled with action and romance. It also deals with the plight of rhinos and elephants who are being hunted into extinction.

3XadSloan

What is your advice about staying in the positive?
I am a very positive person, so I don’t know much about negativity. I think that the most important think in any individual’s life is the person they select to spend their life with. A good partner can build one up or tear one down. I can honestly say that my wife makes me be the very best person I can be. Life with her is amazing.

Do you go out into nature to meditate or quiet your mind? Where have you been and how was it for you?
We built a home in 2015 that Alex designed. It is a sanctuary for us both. I have an office that overlooks our pool and waterfall. Tank’s toy chest is built in and doubles as his window seat. It is right beside my desk so he is close to me. Our home is very peaceful and inspiring for me. Alex has decorated it beautifully. There is truly no other place in the world I’d rather be.

Are you a dog whisperer? What was your dog, Tank like as a puppy?
I’m not a dog whisperer. I think Tank may be a human whisperer. Tank is a rescue dog and has always been precious. When he was tiny, he was just a little ball of fur. We used to call him our little dust bunny. I have had dogs all my life and I loved them, but Tank is truly the sweetest, most loving dog I have ever had the privilege to belong to. At first, I thought he might be blind because no matter where I went he was right behind me with his nose touching my ankle, but his eyesight is fine. Now he is tall enough that his nose touches the bottom of the calf of my leg. He always stays that close to me. I think I’m his security blanket.

Tank settled

Where is a good hang out place to kick back and socialize with friends?
We are homebodies. We have two other couples we share fun times with. We have been friends since college. We rotate to each other’s homes on Saturday nights where the hostesses serve dinner and we play high-stakes poker. The maximum bid is twenty-five cents with a two-bump maximum so the most one can lose on one hand is seventy-five cents. Pretty high stakes, huh?

We have two other couples who are very active in our lives. We rotate hosting dinner in our homes every Saturday night. They are professional women in completely different fields from us. One couple consists of a mergers & acquisitions attorney and a doctor. The other couple is a forensic scientist and a psychiatrist. Both couples are fascinating but I have to admit my favorite stories come from the forensic scientist. She owns her own facility and is hired by smaller law enforcement agencies who don’t maintain their own forensic facility. She will show up in one of my books one day. Her stories are sometimes hysterical, sometimes very sad, sometimes unbelievable, but always entertaining. These four people open a new world to us every week. We have been friends since college and they are still so interesting to me. I think my wife wins the prize for funniest stories. She is an educator and some of the things children and their parents come up with are just laughable. I have learned so much from these five people.

We have my family over once a month and on holidays. My wife is a terrific cook and enjoys trying out new recipes on them. They love it.

Alex’s family lives in Alabama, so we don’t see them as often as we see my folks.

Where is the next place you’re going to visit? Share all you want about it.
We are taking my brother’s twins to Branson, MO. It is a fun city with a lot of live theater and entertainment. The best thing is the Duck Boats. Everyone should ride the Duck Boats at least once in their life.

Would you want to write a non-fiction book? If so, what would it be about?
No, I don’t think I would be a good non-fiction writer.

What is the most daring theme you’ve written about?
I am an action/adventure/romance writer. Lesbian romance is probably as daring as I get.  I don’t delve into things I know nothing about. I would never write a 50 Shades of Gray type book. I did notice that one reviewer gave me four stars because I don’t go into details in my sex scenes, but I figure we all know where those end up and I like to let my readers us their imaginations. Also, sometimes my mother reads my books.

Erin’s Amazon Author Central page

What types of live music do you like to listen to. Who was the last performance you saw?
We love musicals, reviews, plays, etc. The last live musical we attended was last month in Fort Worth at Bass Hall to see The Carol King Musical, Beautiful. We do fly to New York several times a year to see musicals there.

Have you won any awards for your writing?

Not yet!

What is a fun attraction to visit in Austin, TX? What would be a good restaurant you would recommend?
We love taking the twins to The Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels. It is about an hour from Austin. Great fun for the entire family.

The best restaurant in Austin is Truluck’s Seafood, Steaks and Crab House.   There are two of them, but we always go to the one downtown on Colorado St. They have live music with a female singer and a band. She is dynamite.

heading for the ship

Do you have any advice for new writers?

GRAMMARLY & MS WORD ARE NOT ENOUGH!

If you read my reviews, you will find that I was lambasted by a few reviewers about grammatical errors In Too Strong to Die. I started searching for an editor. Even with an editor, I still critical comments about errors in Death Was Too Easy.

I became a woman on a mission. I asked questions. I inquired about who was the best editor I could hire. When I read a very clean book, I checked to see who edited it. After two months of intense searching, I narrowed my search down to Susan Hughes. As busy as she is, I was able to get Susan to accept me as a client.

Susan is—I can’t say enough nice things about Susan—awesome. We worked through Hurricane Harvey to release my latest book Three Times as Deadly on Sept. 17. It jumped to number one on the first day of release and has continued to hold that position. Three Times as Deadly has received several positive reviews and no one has been critical of the writing.

If I could give a single piece of advice to new writers it would be, Get a good editor. If you think you can’t afford one, you’re wrong. You can’t afford to be without one. As authors, we pour our heart and soul into our “masterpieces”. Believe me they become so much more with a great editor.

I know the burning question in the mind of any new author reading this is, “How much will a good editor cost me?”

A good editor will cost between $1,500 to $2,000, but you will make it up in sales. They will pay for themselves.

The other thing I would suggest to new writers is get a seasoned Beta Reader. They are worth their weight in gold. I am pleased that Julie Versoi has agreed to be my beta reader on future novels.

If you are lucky, an experienced writer will take an interest in you and become your mentor. I am fortunate that Kathy Brodland took an interest in my books and has given me guidance. Kathy is the one who told me to hire the best editor I could find.

I feel that I am fortunate to have assembled a small but exceptional team. With Susan, Julie and Kathy, I think 2018 will be the year of Erin Wade.

Me: I agree with Erin. You put so much effort into your work that it deserves the very best. I can also lead you in the direction of some good beta readers too if you are interested.

What is next for you?
I am currently working on a book titled Living Two Lives. It is about a fan, Jules Devine, who has a tremendous crush on a lesfic writer named Darcy Lake, even though the writer is happily married. Jules attends a national convention so she can have Lake autograph books for her. Secretly, she hopes to spend time with the author. A weekend with Darcy Lake is so much more than Jules dreamed and it changes her life forever. Jules is pulled into a world she never knew existed. A world of passion, deception, and death. It is a nail biter.

With all this said, Erin, you’re going to definitely keep us all posted about your new upcoming thriller. As promised, here is a nice excerpt from, ‘Three Times as Deadly’ for everyone. Enjoy!

##

“Hello, Sleeping Beauty.” A tall, stout nurse smiled at me. I squinted to shut out the bright light she was trying to shine into my eyes.

I slowly realized I was in a hospital bed, hooked up to all types of machines, and my head was killing me.

“What happened?” I asked

“We have no idea.” The nurse smiled as she wrapped the blood pressure cuff around my upper arm and pumped it tight enough to cut off all circulation to my hand. “Someone dumped you at the emergency entrance of the hospital. You’ve been in a coma for about ten days.

“You looked like a pride of lions played keep-away with you.” She grinned at her own humor. “You have a concussion, couple of broken ribs, and various and sundry other cuts and bruises, but you’ll live.

“I am glad to see you awake.” She ripped the cuff from my bicep. My hand tingled as the feeling returned to my numb fingers. She ran a temperature wand across my forehead. “I need to get some information from you.”

I nodded, and my head kicked me hard. The pain was unbearable. I closed my eyes and opened them to find a name tag with Sadie engraved on it blocking my view. “Can you give me something for my headache?”

“I will as soon as I complete my paperwork.” Sadie wrinkled her nose and logged into the computer on the stand beside my bed.

“Date of birth?” Her attitude was efficient and direct.

“I don’t know.” I said.

“We’ll just skip the hard stuff and start with the easy questions,” she said with a smirk. “What is your name? I need the middle initial too.”

I stared at her in disbelief. This is a joke, right?

“Your name, sweetie,” she insisted.

“I . . . I don’t know,” I whispered.

Loud arguing in the hallway outside my room sent Sadie charging toward the door. Before she could reach it, two different, but equally stunning women burst into my room.

Sadie took a stance between the women and me. I raised my head and tried to look around my nurse.

“You two do realize you are in a hospital, don’t you?” Sadie scolded the women. “Keep your voices low, or I’ll have you escorted from the premises.”

The women looked contrite and edged around Sadie, but my protector wasn’t letting them get close to me.

“Who are you?” Sadie glared at them.

They answered in unison. “I’m Sloan Cartwright’s wife.”

“Well, I’ll be damn.” Sadie laughed as she turned to me. “Is that what happened to you? You got caught between these two.”

“No!” I blurted out. “I mean, I don’t know them.”

Both women glared at me as if I had defamed God.”

“Honey, I’m glad I’m not in your shoes right now,” Sadie said, chuckling. “Sloan Cartwright, is that your name?”

I struggled to sit up so I could get a better look at the two visitors. Obviously, I had good taste in women.

“Why don’t you introduce yourselves.” Sadie grinned, enjoying my predicament too much.

The beautiful blonde stepped forward. She was tall and slender, like a runner. She wore black slacks that hugged her perfect hips. A short-sleeved lavender blouse was tucked into her waistband. Toned arms and a flat stomach testified to her workout regimen. She wore a gold watch and pendant. Her green eyes seemed to change color as the light reflected from them.

“Sloan, honey, it’s me. Leigh.” Distress filled her eyes as she moved toward me. “Leigh Redding-Cartwright, your wife. We make our home in the United States. I’m here to take you home.” She blushed and added, “You call me LeeRee.”

“No! No!” Sadie intercepted her. “We still need to hear from this black beauty.”

Book CoverShe was a beauty indeed. Her features were fine and chiseled. Her ebony hair was stylishly cut. She reminded me of the actress Halle Berry. When she spoke, her French accent mingled with a touch of high English. I loved her accent. How do I know who Halle Berry is?

I looked from one woman to the other. Apparently I am an equal opportunity lover.

The black beauty smiled. “I am Amarosia Cartwright.” She bowed her head slightly. “You call me Amy. We live together here in Africa.”

Both women were earthshaking beauties.

As I gazed at them, mouth agape, the door to my room flew open, banging against the wall a couple of times as if doing a drum roll to announce the arrival of the gorgeous brunette who burst into my room. “Where is Sloan?” If the woman was also my wife, my taste in women had just shot off the Richter scale.

I realized I was holding my breath when the cardiac monitor attached to me went crazy. I didn’t know if the brunette or my predicament caused the increase in my heart rate.

“Tachycardia,” I muttered, one hand to my chest. I didn’t want the other two women to know how the brunette was affecting me. If one of them was my wife, I didn’t want to hurt her.

“Bullshit.” Sadie laughed gleefully. “You have your butt in a crack and can’t get it out. No wonder you have amnesia.”

“What is going on here?” The brunette demanded, glaring at the other women. “Sloan, what have they done to you, baby? I begged you not to come to this heathen hellhole.”

“Who are you?” Sadie demanded.

If looks could kill, Sadie would be pushing up daisies any minute. The brunette narrowed her icy blue eyes and moved to stand toe to toe with the nurse.

“I am Alexander Roland Cartwright.” She tilted her head, tossed back her long, dark hair, and stared down Sadie who stepped back to allow her access to me.

My heart jumped to triple time as Alexander Roland Cartwright moved closer to me. “What do I call you?” I gulped.

“The love of my life,” she said with a mischievous smile. “When you aren’t acting grandiose, you call me Alex.”

“What’s going on, Sloan?” She lightly stroked my cheek. “Ross managed to sneak a call to me before he disappeared. He said you’re in trouble and to trust no one.”

“I . . . I honestly don’t know,” I whimpered. Something about Alex’s soft touch brought out the baby in me.

“I flew all the way from New York to take Sloan home with me,” Leigh declared.

“Our home is here,” Amy said. “We have always lived here. Sloan is going home with me.”

Alex possessively pulled my hand into hers. “I am not letting Sloan out of my sight.”

I leaned forward to stare at the three women, and my front opening hospital gown took the opportunity to expose my ample breasts. I must admit, I am nicely endowed. Determined to resolve the uncomfortable situation, I pointed out the obvious. “You all seem to be missing something, ladies. I am a woman. I doubt that I am married to any of you.”

I didn’t miss the way each of them licked their lips as they ogled me. I pulled the treasonous gown tight around my chest. I felt like the most succulent lobster at the lobster fest.

I tried to bring some sanity to my situation. “Look, I’ve been in an accident and had a loss of memory. I don’t even know my name, much less to whom I’m married.”

The women looked at each other and then began talking all at once,

“You can take turns sitting with her,” Sadie instructed, but all of you can’t stay here all the time. You can sit in eight-hour shifts. You work it out among yourselves.”

Sadie pushed the women out the door and shoved it closed behind them. I was glad I wasn’t involved in the arguing taking place in the hallway outside my door.

My Review of Nico J. Gene’s ‘Reverie Girl’

Hello Everyone and welcome. Thank you for stopping by last week. It was a pleasure seeing new and familiar faces. I can’t thank you enough for your support for my book, ‘Awakened by Fate.’

Today I am featuring my review of Nico J. Genes‘ ‘Reverie Girl. If you read ‘Magnetic Reverie‘ you’re going to love this one.

This is the second installment of the ‘Reverie Series.’ It starts out in Vienna, a place that has always been a city of wonder for me. I was excited this story was continuing because I just love the two main characters, Claire and Lana. This time it is told in the first person from two points of view. Like before, there is another quick twist. Then the story unfolds.

Claire is full of light and is seeking higher meaning. In the beginning, she doubts herself and comes across as insecure. I found her to be very real and as I read, I felt a deeper understanding of her. She embarks on a journey to a foreign country. I was impressed the author chose this magnificent place.

However, Claire comes off as a bit obsessed with things. She can be a bit antsy and some of her thoughts stirred up emotions in me, intensifying the plot. However, she is lovable and as I read, I couldn’t wait for her next words.

Claire’s brother, David is back and he plays a much bigger role in her life. The brother-sister bond really touched my heart and the author clearly expressed it.

Lana is very rational. She can get through most situations smoothly. She comes off as being patient and doesn’t allow her emotions to take over. She is firm with her language and she impressed me as being a lady. I loved these traits about her and they deepened her character to another level. She is very mysterious which intrigued me.

There were times I really felt for her because of her insecurities. She tends to follow the crowd and doesn’t like to step outside her boundaries. She is a well put together character.

The antagonist, Greg, is in the story. He is self-centered and only cares about having his trophy wife and his business. He overreacts, and his words caused me to tense up.

The flow of the story is smooth and carries throughout. The author takes the reader on a journey to different places in the world. The way they are described, you will feel like she is guiding you on a tour and the descriptions of the scenery are excellent. The author enlightened me with culture and history.

What I also like is the depth of character development. I know everyone’s secrets and can see inside their heads. I applaud the author for touching on a spiritual awakening. This left a lasting impression on me and I’m glad I was able to witness it.

The dynamics between the two main players can be rough at times, causing intense drama. You won’t be able to stop turning the pages.

The subtle flirting will excite you. The romance is very hot and tender.

The mother-daughter relations for one of the protagonists made me angry. In the book, you’ll see what I mean.

Be sure to carve out about five hours to read; you’re not going to want to miss anything. It may even give you another perspective on things, like it did me. I am recommending everyone to read this book. It is unlike any other book I’ve read.

Here is an excerpt to get you started on this amazing journey. Enjoy!

Hoping still to find my phone I decided to use both hands. To do this I had to let go of my luggage. My suitcase didn’t easily keep balance on its own and fell straight to the floor. I bent down to pick it up and immediately my bag tipped over spewing the entire contents across the floor. Oh, great! When will I stop being so clumsy? Luckily, I didn’t have many items inside. “Do you need help?” I heard a polite male voice. I felt embarrassed and looked up at the person offering to help and barely managed to pull together few words. “No, thank you, I am fine.” Due to my embarrassment, my answer was passed in a cold tone. He really didn’t deserve it. I looked for him again to apologize but he’d left already. I managed to pick up all my belongings and placed them safely back in my bag ensuring all in the vicinity were watching and having fun at my expense. I knew it was silly to think like that, but I couldn’t help it. Then my luggage fell off again. Shit! How awkward! I looked around and felt relieved nobody was watching. Okay, concentrate, please! I must pull myself together. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes to calm down. I opened them feeling silly at getting angry about what had just happened. In the next moment, I froze.Market place square

My eyes lay on a young girl. She was walking graciously towards me. My jaw dropped as my heart went into overdrive. It was just like in the cartoons, with Tom and Jerry. This thought brought a smile to my face but I controlled it. She looked phenomenal. It wasn’t the clothes. She was dressed in casual blue jeans, a navy shirt, and All-star. It was the way she walked and her figure that left me speechless. She was average height and she moved her nicely proportionate body so elegantly. She was slim with amazing curves that would turn many a man’s head. I so wished I’d a body like hers. I wished, even more, I could hold that body in my arms. Her hair, mmmmmm, her hair looked amazing. I smiled at the thought of running my fingers through that long red curly hair. What a girl! I thought. I fell in love instantly. I forgot my suitcase and I was staring up at her whilst she approached. She must surely have noticed that she’d caught my eye. I wasn’t trying to hide it. God, she looked sublime. I was even more enamored when I saw a nice grin on her face. I wasn’t prepared. My cheeks were blushing already due to the whole spill-the-bag thing but her smile made my blushing even worse. It was without any doubt the most beautiful smile I’d ever seen. I tried to smile back nicely, but instead managed only a sheepish grin, which in any case was too late. She’d moved forward. Maybe her smile wasn’t aimed at me. Perhaps if it was, it might have been just for consolation. What was I doing? Was I now imagining I’m getting signals from all the girls who look at me, just because I knew now for sure what my sexual orientation is?Castle in the mountain

Enough with the embarrassment and with the girls for the moment. It wasn’t easy though to forget this gorgeous girl with awesome long red hair. I looked around to see where she’d gone, but it was impossible to spot her anywhere. There will be another girl out there for me. And when I meet her, I will never let her go. So now, back to my plans.
